Couponstar, a Cashstar International Company, is an online direct marketing solutions provider that specialises in ecouponing technology. Couponstar holds the exclusive global license for Coupons, Inc (USA market leader) technology platform for outside of North America.
What do we do?
Couponstar provides online direct marketing solutions that enable businesses to deliver secure consumer-printed coupons and other certificates. We offer business customers and partners the ability to use online coupons to drive offline spending and increase the success of their marketing promotions. Through three programs that are based on the technology behind the consumer application, business customers can deliver coupons directly to their customers from their corporate web sites (webBricks), from online banner ads (adBricks), and through targeted emails (oneBricks).
Applications include coupons, vouchers, event tickets, rebates, cash-backs, prize forms, product sampling and even cash.
The technology
Couponstar utilises Coupons, Inc. proprietary, patent-pending technology. The platform was developed in 1997 and is continually evolving to meet 5 key requirements:
- Flexibility (distribution across various online media)
- User friendliness and ease of use
- Security against misredemption (fraud)
- Traceability and measurability to allow clients to track the behaviour of the individual from online to offline (re-marketing)
- Privacy (protection of information)
The technology provides a targeted distribution system for coupons that can be securely printed by consumers at home or work for in-store redemption. Proprietary encryption, authentication, private & public key technology and sourcing is used when coupon information is transmitted across the Internet - deconstructing the coupons and never displaying them in their entirety on a PC screen (preventing copying). In addition, built-in security and usability features permit automatic expiring of coupons, print count limiting, bar coding (2-D bar code), serialising, time & date stamping, localisation identifiers, numbering and a number of other features.

We help businesses increase their return on investment. Using our online couponing platform and services will increase consumer visits to the "bricks and mortar" retail network and/or velocity of product sold in-store. It will also allow the customer to capture consumer details and product usage information and track and measure individual consumer online to offline behaviour, therefore, closing the loop.
