Coupons Inc. enables coupon clipping in Safari

Coupons Inc. has announced that Bricks, the engine that drives online coupon distribution for a number of companies, now works with Safari in Mac OS X v10.2 and v10.3. Companies use Bricks to deliver coupons on their Web sites and ad banners as well as in their marketing e-mails, but the mechanism they use to approve coupon designs previously only worked in Windows. Now they can sign off on coupons in Safari, and consumers can use the Web browser to print coupons from such sites as Cottonelle.com and boxtopsforeducation.com (General Mills). The coupons are typically redeemed in retail stores.

Steven Boal, Coupons Inc.'s CEO, told MacCentral that the company plans to extend Safari support to its other technologies in the coming months. One example is Boodle.com, which allows consumers to view and print the coupons available in their local newspapers.
